An Impressive Texas-Inspired Self Cleaning Pool
Our client came to us with design ideas for a new pool to be built on the east of the CT river, near Hartford. He had a pool in Texas for years, so we needed to plan accordingly for this new pool, given the very different climate. With an “anything is possible” attitude, we still had construction challenges associated with ice and frost which doesn’t exist in Texas. The scope of the project evolved so that we could ensure the longevity through the harsh New England winters to come.
The pool’s features include an oversized hot tub, a large sun shelf that slopes to the 3rd step, a massive waterfall and the pond in the distance creates a beautiful backdrop that only adds to the view.
Site conditions required a heavily sloped backyard which meant large retaining walls and back filling. Together with our associates at Bahler Brothers Inc. we were able to create the space using proper engineered walls and backfilling which would endure the unpredictable New England weather.
The pool is self-cleaning, fully automated (from any web enabled device) and is (of course) heated using a gas heater (for speed) and a heat pump (for efficiency). There are fire bowls throughout the property as well.
Despite the construction challenges and harsh weather conditions, we were able to deliver the project that far surpassed the client’s expectations.
